Video Tape Transfers

Do you have precious memories taken on a camcorder, and no longer have the equipment to play them back? Are you concerned that repeated playings of your original video tapes may damage them?

All video tapes are transferred using professional VCR’s with time base correction into a computer and then edited.  I do not use direct to disc transfer VCR’s.  Video tapes are transferred by the owner to insure the best possible transfer.  Tapes can be transferred to DVD, Blu Ray, USB flash drive or USB hard drive.  USB drives are provided by us and the price is based on our cost.  If you provide the drive it must be brand new in a sealed box and 1TB in size PC compatible.

Transfer Rates: Straight Transfer

Minimum charge is $14.00 for each tape.  Each additional hour is $14.00.  For example, if your tapes are less than 1 hour the rate is $14.00.  If it is for over 1 hour and 3 minutes to 2 hours the rate is $14.00 per hour of tape. So if the tape is 1 1/2 hours it is $21.00, if it is 2 hours it is $28.00.  If the tapes are over 2 hour the rate continues at $14.00 per hour.  There is a minimum charge of $40.00 per order.

Straight transfer means there is no editing done to the tape.  Only the video and audio will be adjusted for proper viewing.  There will be no titles added. If tapes are numbered, they will be transferred in the order numbered. Tapes can be transferred to DVD, Blu Ray, USB Flash Drive or USB hard Drive.  If they are placed on a USB drive then we provide the drive at our cost to you.  If you decide to provide the drive it must be brand new in a sealed box PC compatible and 1 TB in size.  When placing video tapes on a USB drive, they will be in either AVI or MOV format depending on the computer used. They can also be prepared for Smart TV. I can not be quaranteed that they will pay on all Smart TV since they are all different.

Transfer Rate:  Edit transfer:

Minimum charge is $26.00 per tape.  Each additional hour is $26.00.  For example, if your tapes are less than 1 hour the rate is $26.00.  If it is for over 1 hour and 3 minutes to 2 hours the rate is $26.00 per hour of tape.  For example, if you tape is less than 1 hour it is $26.00. If the tape is 1 1/2 hour it is $39.00. If the tape is 2 hours it is $52.00. If the tapes are over 2 hour the rate continues at $26.00 per hour.  There is a minimum charge of $40.00 per order.

Edit transfer means the video will be edited based on your written instructions.  Video and audio will be adjusted for proper viewing.  Blank spaces will be removed.  TV shows that may be between family videos will be removed unless indicated otherwise.  Titles will be added if provided.  Tapes will be placed in proper order if number or in date order.   Tapes can be transferred to DVD, Blu Ray or USB Flash Drive or USB hard drive. Chapters will be added to DVD’s or Blu Ray.  There are no chapters on a USB Flash drive, however, each tape will have a folder with a number that was on the tape.  If they are placed on a USB drive then we provide the drive at our cost to you.  If you decide to provide the drive it must be brand new in a sealed box PC compatible and 1TB in size.  When placing video tapes on a USB drive, they will be in either AVI or MOV format depending on the computer used.They can also be prepared for Smart TV.
